Hus Walter
From the music conservatories of Brussels and Ghent, Walter Huss graduated from the piano in 1984. He soon gets involved in various musical projects: collaborations with artists (HThuns) and video (Walter Verdin, Marie André), the composition of film music (Suite Sixteen of Dominique Deruddere, The Pillow Book by Peter Greenaway), a tour with his tog Maximalist, compositions and performances for various theaters and ballets (De Keersmaeker, Vandekeybus Huilmand, Needcompany, Discordia, Beukelaars, Kortekaas, Ritsema ...).
During the 90', he performed less on stage and focused on his composition. He received orders from many institutions and festivals such as Kaaitheater, De Singel, The Beursschouwburg, Festival van Vlaanderen; Antwerpen'93, Vooruit, Felix Meritis, Hebbel Theater and De Rode Pomp. Recently, he composed four string quartets (Theory, Desire, Madness and The Mirror). Moreover, his trilogy of opera (Meneer of zot in Tkinter / Bloetwollefduivel / Titus Andonderonikustmijnklote) with words of Jan Decorte was recently acclaimed in Belgium and other European countries.
